Product Description This is a replacement glossy LCD screen. Glossy LCD has sharper contrast, crisper images, richer colors and wider viewing angles with a non-reflected hazy picture.

Perfect fit October 6, 2009 Razz (Arizona) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is the correct screen for replacing a Macbook (black) 13.3in, which is not a particularly hard replacement to do. it took about 20 for me to take it apart and installed.

Macbook is back! November 19, 2009 Big Al (Nyack, NY) Got this supper fast and followed the on-line instructions I found to replace the screen. This is not for beginners! It took me some time (2 hours) but when I was done everything worked great and I didn't have any extra screws! You will have to take the entire laptop apart and I mean everything.
No more cracked screen! I'm back in business with a nice bright display.
Don't pay $750 from Apple for this!!! February 12, 2010 D. Tait (Washington DC) When the Apple store told me it was $750 for this screen, I responded "Are you insane?" So I found this one for a fraction of the price. It takes about 30 minutes to install the first one and it does not come with directions. However, if you take your time, and if you are able to do small electrical or other home repairs, you should have no issues. A few tricks: Use a plastic knife, or other thin plastic blade to remove the trim plate slowly. To reinstall it when you are done, you will need to remove the grey plastic clips carefully from the bezel and reuse them by spreading out the prongs a tiny bit if they collapsed. If you skip this step, you will break the clips. It did not come with the camera, so you need to remove it. To do so, you need to remove the bracket which hold it in place, not remove the camera from the bracket. Other than that, you need to remove a ton of tiny screws and 2 electrical connections after removing the safety tape. You need to make sure the wires are routed as they were before to avoid damaging them upon reinstallation. The hinge cover is a bit tricky as it slides and clips in place. Just watch the part that goes to the back of the cover underneath. It must slid on first before you clip it in place again. The first time was a bit tricky. However, I could do it in my sleep now.
Great replacement February 15, 2010 K. Barnes (Cleveland Oh) Ordered this screen to replace a smashed macbook white screen. fit perfectly easy to install. Thank you
Life saver February 20, 2010 David Herson I cracked my screen, and this puppy saved me (...) over having it replaced professionally. I am not much of a technical expert but the replacement was fairly simple. It did require a small bit of patience (removing and replacing the hinge cover was a little tricky for me), and all told it took me about 45 minutes.
I used the following link for step by step instructions on how to remove the original screen. Hope this helps!
